NDOT’s $40 million viaduct rehabilitation project included mainline deck repairs, joint replacements and seismic retrofitting along I-515 (US 95) in downtown Las Vegas. During this yearlong project, the bridges at Desert Inn Road and Eastern Avenue were demolished and reconstructed. A new southbound auxiliary lane from the Spaghetti Bowl was added to provide additional space for motorists to accelerate before entering I-515 traffic.
South Bound Auxiliary Lane
A new southbound auxiliary lane from the Spaghetti Bowl provides additional space for motorists to accelerate before entering I-515 traffic, reducing congestion.
Mainline deck repairs, joint replacements and seismic retrofitting extended the lifespan of the I-515 viaduct.
Two I-515 bridges at Desert Inn Road and Eastern Avenue, built in the mid-1980s, were demolished and reconstructed.
